Liebe Blog-Besucher/innen,

Dear visitors of my blog,

willkommen in meinem Blog! Welcome to my blog!

Hey everyone,

Introducing my new album "Gender is a Bitch" ...

Blog-Wise >>

After the release of "Some safe cloud" a bunch of new compositions popped up and urged me to sail back to the sweet and crunchy homeland shores of the "alternative-ocean" ...

There are six new tracks ... this time used a lot of Reaktor- and Massive-sounds ... but also my own E-Guit- and Cello-recordings which I've "sent through some effecting" ... also vocalwise I've been playing around ... with detuning, harmonizing ... . I really love and enjoy these technical experiments. And I have worked myself back to more intense rhythm/drum-arrangements, which I had missed in my latest productions.

All in all I can see that most of the tracks would match very well with some sort of dark(er)-flavored Netflix-/Amazon-series-stuff ... *heyhey ...

So ... these tracks you will find on "Gender is a Bitch":

1. Daring for Dinner ...

Do you know this exciting feeling of meeting a stranger for the first time ... not knowing how this will turn out? Sometimes (quite often) we think, we do know somebody, especially if we have chatted and skyped with them beforehand ... but hey, you never know for sure, who is this guy you are going to open your door for, don't you ...

These lyrics however, do carry a "mystery-vibe", hence my introductory remark on matching for dark(er) film/series. They are rather aiming for "you never know where this guy is coming from" and to better take care ...

Interesting beats in there, dancing with my vocals (and synth-arrangements).

2. Gender is a Bitch ...

The title-song ... . Since my childhood I do have my gender-issues. I know how it feels to be caged and forced into a biological gender which does not seem to match the "rest of you". Thanks to the Gods, times and things are changing and there is more space for all colours and flavors ...

Again lots of heavy drums and some playing around with my voice (yes, it's all mine :)).

The lyrics for this song I have just uploaded to Apple Music. You'll find them there later on.

3. I freeze you ...

Beware ... Lady Hagström is coming ... this is "her" track, YES! Lot of "E-Guit" in here.

Lyricwise this track is about how we use each other in relationships ... about abusive arrangements.

Once again you will find the lyrics on Apple later on.

4. The bad good Guy ...

In my life I have met a lot of different people in a lot of different countries around the globe. Often I have found the so-called good guy to be the worst of all. On the other side however, the bad guy is not always "the better good guy". But still, sometimes he is. At least in terms of honesty. Musicwise I have used a lot of my Cello-recordings, sending them through guitar-amp-efffects ... YES!

I also see this one "in film". Lyrics have been uploaded to Apple Music. Check it out.

5. Fly off (Broken Wings) ...

This song starts in an escapist dreamy mode, but soon evolves into an - once again - drum-based piece. Played around with vocal-sounds, some stutter-stuff. Also added some self-recorded bird- and flapping-wings-sounds underlining the message of the lyrics ...

6. Lodur's Song ...

... could have also been titled "Ode to Creation and Destruction" ... *ahem. This is a recorded vocal-trance on an instrumental composition, genrewise dancing between alternative and electronic, spiced with some synthesized guitar-fragments .... *enjoy ...

You won't find too much information on "Lodur" in the Northern Tradition. In my personal experience he is best described as the "Lord of Flames", his name sounding familiar to the german verb "lodern", "lodernde Flammen" for blazing fire.
